Lyme Regis Cliffs at Lyme Regis Sea Defences Hounstout

Landslides affect much of the Dorset coast, but the most detailed studies are at Lyme Regis. Many coastal towns and villages are at risk from coastal change and coastal flooding. Both require careful design of protection works. They must meet economic, engineering and environmental criteria before they are publicly funded.
